Our History
Timberlake & Dickson, Inc. is a Manufacturer’s Representative/Distributorship that has been a leader in the industrial and commercial HVAC industry in Texas for over 55 years.
In 1963, Bob Timberlake and Bill Wofford formed a partnership as manufacturer’s representatives. Two years later, their firm became established as Timberlake & Wofford, Inc.
In 1972 Lee R. Royal joined as a partner in the firm and expanded the workforce and expertise in applied engineering practices with HVAC equipment. Timberlake & Wofford continued to add products to the company’s product offerings, ensuring that only the highest quality manufacturers were represented by the firm.
In 1983, Preston Dickson joined the company as a salesman, and in the early 1990's, he began to buy into the firm's ownership upon the retirement of Bill Wofford and Lee Royal. In March of 1997, the company name was changed to Timberlake & Dickson, in order to reflect the new ownership. As Timberlake & Dickson entered the 2000’s, Preston Dickson assumed sole ownership of the company, which he maintained until 2019.
Today, led by a partnership between Scotty MacLaughlin, Dave Elliott, Kurt Kube, and John Wofford, the company represents an ever-expanding collection of first-class manufacturers of HVAC equipment, serving commercial and light industrial markets, working directly with engineers, contractors, owners, architects, and other industry professionals.
